enjoy praise to the Lord through the musical talents of our
members and friends.

Both programs will be in the church sanctuary. |
International Food Fair and
Silent Auction
January 24, 2009
Come enjoy food from South
Korea, Romania, Brazil, the United States, Mexico and
possibly Germany, Japan, the Philippines, Italy and New
Zealand.
 In
addition to the palate, the colorful costumes will
delight the eyes.
The fun starts at 6:00 pm.
Coupons will be available at the door and redeemable at
the food booths. (Cash will not be accepted at the
food booths.)
Silent auction items will have bidding sheets where you
can write down your bid. Bid winners will pay
after the end of the auction at the door. |
This fair will benefit our Building Fund which needs
replenishing after a new roof and other major renovation projects
in our gym.
The gymnasium hosts a great deal of activities for our
church and the community including:
● Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) — A program for
homeless families providing emergency shelter, meals and
supportive services
 ●
Blood Drives — The Golden Family of Churches hosts this
Bonfiles event.
● Our congregation uses the gym for many other programs. |

of the five thousand. Jesus
had sent them on their way and had gone up into the mountain to pray.
Because of a storm, they spent most of the night trying to row

I heard the following illustration on HOPE channel:
During the Depression, jobs were scarce. A telegraph
office needed a new telegraph operator. They wanted
the best, so they put an ad in the paper which said,
"Telegraph operator
needed. If you are a good operator and are interested,
apply in person at the telegraph office at such and such a
time, on such
an such a day."
The appointed day arrived and many potential telegraph
operators showed up at the telegraph office. Each one
wanted the job. Each one NEEDED the job.
